Here at Hedworth Hall, we know organising a funeral, wake or celebration of life for a
loved one can be a difficult and an emotional time. Although we can’t take away the pain, we can help you to organise a wake where you, alongside family and friends of your loved one can come together to honour and celebrate their life.
We are also able to offer a venue in which to host a non-religious
funeral service dedicated to your loved one, working in conjunction with South Tyneside Humanists.*
Wake services
Whether it’s a small or a large gathering who are wanting to pay their respects, we can offer a venue to cater for all, with a private function room. For an added touch, we also have a projector* that you are more than welcome to use if you wish to have pictures played in the background during the service and/or wake. We can also provide a memory table in which to display your cherished photographic memories. Buffet packages are also available.
*Where a wake/celebration of life takes place in our smaller restaurant area, TVs are available in which to display your photographs in the background.
*Photographs must be saved onto a USB stick to enable them to be displayed on our screens.
*Please note prices do not include the cost of a Humanist to carry out the service which is charged separately.
